Signature Remote Deposit

What is Signature Bank of Georgia's Remote Deposit?

Remote Deposit is a new technology made available for the convenience and safety of businesses by the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act, commonly known as Check 21.

Remote Deposit allows businesses to accept checks and to perform all internal record-keeping and processing...but instead of submitting the physical check to the Bank for credit to your account, you may simply scan the check at your place of business and submit it electronically via the internet and through FTP as a 128-bit encoded item.

Once we have received your imaged scans, the deposit takes place based on a funds availability schedule. By eliminating the paper delivery system, a number of significant benefits are enjoyed by your business.

The benefits of Signature Bank of Georgia's Merchant / Remote Deposit include:

  • Accelerated Clearings - Faster processing of checks for deposit as no physical transportation of checks to the Bank is necessary. Deposits are cleared faster and easier.
  • Improved Availability - With this service, you can make deposits earlier in the day. As more banks move to this technology, as much as 95% of next-day availability on transit items can be achieved.
  • Enhanced Cash Flow - Accelerated clearings and faster funds availability results in improved cash flow and working capital for your company.
  • Reduced Return Item Risk - The faster an item clears, the faster you will know about return items.
  • Reduced Transportation Costs/Convenience - No longer will you have to make time and arrangements for a trip to the bank to make your deposits!
  • Reduced Processing Costs and Consolidated Banking Relationships

Signature Bank of Georgia puts the convenience of technology to work with Merchant / Remote Deposit. Now available to our business banking customers through our website, this significant new service provides you:

  • Hands-on implementation and training
  • The ability to capture the image of checks you receive and to receive transaction information on these checks
  • The technology to deliver these scanned check images to the Bank in a format which allows these submitted checks to be processed as if the original paper checks had been received and captured
  • The convenience of accessing daily reports which highlight the dollar amount of each check along with specific information on each item processed
  • Easy-to-use instructions for daily processing
