Melanie Brown to lead Signature Bank’s SBA Lending team

Signature Bank of Georgia President and CEO, Freddie Deutsch announced today that Melanie S. Brown has joined the bank as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Melanie’s experience to head up our already highly successful team, “Deutsch said. “Melanie has underwritten and closed SBA loans for a wide-range of businesses since the early 1990’s. Her skills, expertise and customer-centric focus will help our SBA team perform even better overall.”

Signature Bank is already one of the top performers in originating SBA Loans in the State of Georgia. For FY 2013, as ranked by the Small Business Administration, Georgia District Office, Signature Bank finished the year at number 18th out of the top 50 small business lenders in Georgia for 2013. The bank maintains its Preferred Lender status with the SBA which allows for local-decision-making. This has been a big draw for businesses in the Atlanta Metro area.

Melanie is a graduate of UGA with BBA in Marketing. She also a graduate of the Leadership Sandy Springs Class of 1991 and holds memberships with the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, NAGGL and the Georgia Lenders Quality Circle. Melanie has served as a Loan Committee member for Capital Partners Certified Development Corporate (as a non-profit company founded 1984 to originate and service loans for the SBA 504 loan program).
